In the morning, Alsimexco team pick you up at hotel in Hanoi for the 7 hour journey by private car to Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai Province, northwest of Vietnam.
After getting out of bustle and hustle Hanoi, enjoy the countryside views by the windows while driving northwestward. Arrive at Nghia Lo town early in the afternoon for lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, heading to Mu Cang Chai by passing the breathtaking sceneries of mountainous area, witness the daily life of the ethnic communities. Do not forget to capture all the beauties of sightseeing by the window or for the quick stop along the road.
Later afternoon, check-in an ecolodge upon your arrival in Mu Cang Chai. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Hanoi to Mu Cang Chai: 320km (7 hours)
Overnight in Mu Cang Chai
8h30: Depart for a visit to the Thai village by a drive to Sang Village where the Hmong live. Then take a walk for 2 hours on the trail, it is also the border between two provinces of Yen Bai and Son La.
Standing on the trail to capture the spectacular terraced fields in Ngoc Chien valley. Beautiful scenes here are considered an ideal destination for photographers and painters. Looking down from above to admire the great masterpiece work of the tiny human.
Continue in the pine forest and down the valley to discover the life of the Thai minority. The stilt houses are located along the stream as the symbol of the Thai people for generals. Lunch is served in Thai people traditional stilt house before walking through the small pathways in the village to interact with the locals peoples.
In the afternoon we have 2 options as following:
Option 1: Ride back to the lodge and prepare for the fishing trip.
Option 2: Continue to ride to the place for relaxing in the bath with hot water completely natural. Then return to the lodge and rest while waiting for dinner
Terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai are widely existed in Mu Cang Chai plateau but big sites of terraced fields(villages) we visit are above 3, and “La Pan Tan terraced fields” is the biggest and most beautiful terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai
8h30: Depart after breakfast to visit terraced fields are recorded as national heritage.
Do the trek about 12km to reach the point of walking. All the beautifuls of Mu Cang Chai are waiting at the top, after a 1 hour climb we go through the Hmong people where we will meet innocent children, the hardworking women with friendly smile for the symbol of welcome. In this village, visitor can step in the traditional houses of the indigenous people and learn their customs.
Continue on the trail until we see the whole terraced paddy fields that have been recorded as national heritage, the masterpieces of tribe group live here for generations. This beautiful place has been CNtraveler magazine rated as the theater of golden rice.
Before leaving the car, lunch will be served and photos are taken as evidence that we are here.
After lunch, transfer back to Hanoi. End the services.
