    Tour itinerary

    Day 1 Hanoi - Nghia Lo - Mu Cang Chai (L/D)

    In the morning, Alsimexco team pick you up at hotel in Hanoi for the 7 hour journey by private car to Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai Province, northwest of Vietnam. 

    After getting out of bustle and hustle Hanoi, enjoy the countryside views by the windows while driving northwestward.  Arrive at Nghia Lo town early in the afternoon for lunch at local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, heading to Mu Cang Chai by passing the breathtaking sceneries of mountainous area, witness the daily life of the ethnic communities. Do not forget to capture all the beauties of sightseeing by the window or for the quick stop along the road.

    Later afternoon, check-in an ecolodge upon your arrival in Mu Cang Chai. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

    Hanoi to Mu Cang Chai: 320km (7 hours)

    Overnight in Mu Cang Chai

    Day 2 Trekking Hang Co Vua -Hua Khat Village (B/L/D)

    After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to a small village of H’mong which is named Hang Co Vua, then walk on small trail, follow the terraces fields and conquer the pine forest. Enjoy the fresh air cool in the middle of nature and mountains.

    When step on a small road in the forest, visitor have the opportunity to look at the forest orchid flowers, hear the birds singing and the occasional squirrel in a tree. After 2 hours walk by encountering villages where Hmong tribe of Hua Khat ethnic village live, visitor will discover extremely simple life and their wild character. Yet indigenous people could not communicate with visitor because of the language barrier, but they are very friendly and open welcome for their home visiting.

    Leaving the village of the Hmong people to see the valley of terraced fields, which is the mark of human impact on nature in a harmonious way. We can imagine as the space carved by the hands of the artists.

    After lunch, continue to go to Cai Dong – La Khat Village and enjoy the picturesque scenery of Mu Cang Chai. The beautiful scenes and simple life of the Hmong people is the highlight of the first day trek. Arrive at the Ecolodge and take a rest for dinner with regional specialties.

    From Hang Co Vua to Hua Khat Village: 6 km

    Easy walk – 3,5 hours

    Day 3 Exploring Hill Tribes (B/L/D)

    8h30: Depart for a visit to the Thai village by a drive to Sang Village where the Hmong live. Then take a walk for 2 hours on the trail, it is also the border between two provinces of Yen Bai and Son La.

    Standing on the trail to capture the spectacular terraced fields in Ngoc Chien valley. Beautiful scenes here are considered an ideal destination for photographers and painters. Looking down from above to admire the great  masterpiece work of the tiny human.

    Continue in the pine forest and down the valley to discover the life of the Thai minority. The stilt houses are located along the stream as the symbol of the Thai people for generals. Lunch is served in Thai people traditional stilt house before walking through the small pathways in the village to interact with the locals peoples.

    Transfer back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night here.

    7 km easy walking (3,5 hours)

    Day 4 Mu Cang Chai - Hanoi (B/L)

    Farewell to Mu Cang Chai, check-out the lodge after the breakfast then transfer back Hanoi at later afternoon. End the tour.
