In the morning, we will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. Then, drive about 3.5 hours to Ninh Binh and transfer to Cucphuong National Park, the oldest one in Vietnam. We will drive in half an hour inside the national park which offers you special feelings under the shade of big trees.
On arrival at the center of Cuc Phuong National Park, we will enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will start our trekking up the mountains (about 7 km), that is great chance for you to get close to nature and learn about natural life.
On the way visit the Cave of prehistoric human (had over 7000 year), remember to bring along plash-lights with you so that you can discover deeply inside the cave, it is quite dark there. Then you’ll start on a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi, the thousand year old tree.
It is like that you are getting back to the jungle of thousand years before and getting lost in an ancient forest, you can notice some insects and reptiles along the way.
Go back to check in your room, dinner included tonight at a local restaurant. Enjoy your peaceful night at the middle of thick jungle. Stay overnight at the national park guesthouse.
Hanoi to Cuc Phuong: 115km (2h30)
Wake up early to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the national park and listen to the sound of nature when the birds, wild animals chirping around...
7.30 am, you enjoy breakfast near your guesthouse then some free time to take a morning stroll or some more relaxation before checking out guesthouse and pay a visit to the famous Endangered Primate Rescue Center and Endangered Tortoise Rescue Center where many types of langur, monkeys, tortoises... were taken care before freeing them back to their nature.
The primate center was established in 1993 with the help of the Frankfurt Zoological Society and has grown to 100 animals in 30 cages, 4 houses, two semi-wild enclosures.
Later, we transfer to Trang An – the new world heritage site of Vietnam. We stop for lunch with local specialties and then take an enjoyable rowing boat trip meandering through the stunning limestone peaks and discover the limestone caves.
Trang An eco-tourism is the latest World Natural Heritage recognized by UNESCO in Vietnam, it is just like the meeting point of Heaven and Earth. Local people will row you around in about 2 hours. Return to our bus and go back Hanoi in the late afternoon. Trip finishes at your hotel.
