We meet you at your hotel at 8am, for the scenic drive along the northern part of the famous Ho Chi Minh-Trail, winding through some of the roughest mountainous jungle terrain in the country.

Our first stop en-route is the site of the My Lai massacre. Then continue to Kontum, a town famous for the surrounding minority villages.

We spend the night in a stilted house amongst the hill tribes, joining them for a Gong show and a rice wine party before retiring for the night.

    Day 2 Kontum (B/L/D)

Our day starts with breakfast at your village homestay and a gentle 4km walk fromKong Klor suspension bridge, where we continue along to the Yachim village, home to the Jarai minority.

We then move on to a Wooden church, where the priests still hold office in an ancient dialect.

After lunch we continue onwards and visit the Pleitonghia minority, finally checking in to our hotel in the relaxed, Kontum town.

    Dinner at a local restaurant.

Locals also call it T'Nung or Ea Nueng, which means a "sea on the mountain". It used to be a volcanic crater that erupted millions of years ago.

The drive through Gia Lai province, famed for its rubber, black pepper and coffee plantations, holding spectacular photo opportunities with hilltribe groups including Gia Rai and, Xo Dang residing along the way. Lunch in Buon Ma Thuot. Check in to your hotel.
